Scholarships
The Middletown (DE) Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., is committed to helping young people succeed academically. This includes ensuring that students have access to the financial resources they need to obtain a college education. Scholarships are available to students who attend a public, private, or parochial high school and who reside within the service areas of the Middletown (DE) Alumnae Chapter: Middletown, Odessa, Townsend, St. Georges, Port Penn, Clayton, and Delaware City.
The Ethel Cuff Black Scholarship ($500 each) is for books and materials. Scholarships are available to graduating African American high school seniors in the service areas of the Middletown (DE) Alumnae Chapter, which are: Middletown, Odessa, Townsend, Clayton, Port Penn, St. Georges, and Delaware City. Applicants should have an average of 2.5 or above on a 4.0 scale.

​The Dr. Velma Scantlebury White STEM Scholarship ($2,500 each) Scholarships are available to graduating African American high school seniors in the service areas of the Middletown (DE) Alumnae Chapter, which are: Middletown, Odessa, Townsend, Clayton, Port Penn, St. Georges, and Delaware City. Applicants must be majoring in science or technology or engineering or mathematics (medical fields are included). Applicants should have an average of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale.
